Sometimes the act of printing can be a daunting task for students. They may have things to say but struggle to write their thoughts down using a pencil and paper. If your child or student has access to a computer, then typing may be a more interactive and motivating way for students to engage in writing. There are many free and fun typing programs available for students to use online.

Intermediate-aged elementary students can start building and practising their typing skills using sites such as "Dance Mat Typing." For older students, typing programs such as "Nitro Type," offer higher level typing passages. These are only a couple of the free online resources available for students to improve upon their typing skills.
